New All-in-One Fish Silage System for Aquaculture
Designed as a complete all-in-one solution for the aquaculture sector, Landia has launched a highly innovative new fish silage system for demanding environments where hygiene, reliability and process stability are essential.
Developed specifically for efficient fish waste processing and long-term operational performance, the new PowerEnsiler system combines advanced engineering with Landia’s extensive hands-on experience within the global aquaculture industry.
The robust and intelligent system has been engineered to ensure constant and long-term silage quality, helping fish farming and fish processing operations improve efficiency whilst maintaining high biosecurity standards.
Focusing on fast and efficient flow alongside integrated cutting technology, the PowerEnsiler is fully managed from a single control system for both the ensiling tank and the storage tank. This streamlined approach simplifies operation and helps operators maintain stable and reliable processing conditions at all times.
Designed with hygiene as a key priority, the PowerEnsiler delivers maximum biosecurity through a superior hygiene-focused design. This makes the system particularly suitable for modern aquaculture facilities where strict cleanliness and contamination prevention measures are critical.
All critical components are manufactured directly by Landia, which was established in 1933, ensuring installations benefit from complete compatibility, transparency and single-source responsibility throughout the entire system.

Available in tank sizes ranging from 1m3 to 25m3, the PowerEnsiler vessels can be supplied in polyethylene (PE) or acid-resistant AISI-316 stainless steel. ATEX-approved configurations are also available for operations requiring additional safety compliance.
At the heart of the system is the proven Landia Chopper Pump, recognised as the world’s first chopper pump, originally invented by the company in 1950. Manufactured in AISI-316 stainless steel, the pump provides excellent protection against the typically low pH levels commonly found in fish silage applications.

The efficiency and effectiveness of the Landia Chopper Pump’s knife system also removes the need for external grinders. The pump’s knives consistently macerate fish heads, bones, guts and skin into a unformed, homogenous, pumpable and valuable silage product suitable for use as a high-protein animal feed and as an organic liquid fertiliser.
The launch of the PowerEnsiler further strengthens Landia’s position within the aquaculture processing sector, providing fish farming businesses with a reliable and fully integrated fish silage solution designed to improve operational efficiency, product consistency and long-term durability.

Landia's headquarters are located in Lem, which is how it has been since 1933. Today, Landia has subsidiaries in England, Germany, Norway and the US, and a sales office in China. In addition, Landia products are sold in 45 countries worldwide. Landia supplies pumping and mixing solutions to many different industries, with the most important ones being agriculture, wastewater, biogas plants and the fish industry. In general, you will find Landia's products wherever there is a difficult medium to be pumped or mixed. Landia survives by selling quality solutions in close partnership with the customers.
Landia is not a supermarket where customers select products from the shelves. Our technical sales people are always in close discussions with customers, which ensures solutions that work. For Landia, quality in every phase a matter of course, and we have been ISO9001 certified since 1994. Quality also means that many of Landia's products have been in operation for 20-25 years even though the operating conditions may be extreme. In that way, Landia's customers achieve the lowest lifespan costs, while resource consumption is minimised, which further results in a positive impact on the environment.
