Xylem publishes Environmental Product Declaration for Flygt Concertor 6020 pump
Xylem has published an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its Flygt Concertor 6020 wastewater pump, providing consulting engineers, designers, utilities and local authorities with independently verified environmental data to support sustainability assessments and procurement decisions.
Valid for five years, the EPD details the product’s environmental impacts throughout its lifecycle, from raw material extraction and manufacturing through to transportation, operation and end-of-life. This includes its global warming potential and other relevant environmental indicators.
As sustainability requirements become increasingly important in tenders and public procurement, access to reliable product data can help customers make informed decisions and demonstrate environmental performance.
The declaration supports a range of applications, including:
- Conducting lifecycle assessments (LCAs) at product, building and system level
- Evaluating environmental impacts, including embodied carbon
- Meeting environmental documentation requirements in tender submissions
- Supporting low-carbon project specifications and demonstrating carbon performance
- Providing data for relevant European sustainability frameworks
The Flygt Concertor 6020 EPD has been developed in accordance with international and European standards and independently verified by NSF International, an accredited programme operator in health and safety testing.
The declaration forms part of Xylem’s wider programme to make environmental product data more accessible to customers, with sustainability disclosures now covering more than 100 product variants across its portfolio.
