10 Day Full-bore Mag Flowmeter Delivery
The traditional lead time of 6-8 weeks for an electromagnetic flowmeter has been cut to just 10 working days by Bürkert.
Although a relatively low volume product, ‘magmeters’, as they are commonly known, are used in many applications but replacement parts are often made to order which can delay projects or reduce productivity for a considerable time. Faster delivery should benefit end users and process equipment manufacturers alike.
Bürkert Fluid Control Systems offers magmeter technology with a range of options depending on the application. Designated as the Type 8055, which has a flange fitting, and the Type 8054 which has a wafer fitting, the magmeters can be specified with a selection of insulating materials, display options and levels of ingress protection.
This range of magmeters can be used on a series of pipe diameters from 25 mm to 150 mm, and fitted with polypropylene, ebonite or PTFE linings. When combined with actuated valves, the magmeters can control high-precision dosing operations and flow measurement in potable water treatment as well as wastewater treatment applications.
Neil Saunders, Bürkert’s UK General Manager, comments: “We are aware of the difficulties that long lead times can cause and we have resolved this issue for full bore magnetic flowmeters without any additional cost to the customer.
By taking on additional stock of all the most common variants of this product, we aim to reduce development and delivery times for a range of process applications where precision flowmeters are required.”
This improved stock holding policy is being applied to a range of Bürkert products in order to provide customers with added convenience and increased purchase flexibility.
Although the quantity of products available on short lead times will be significantly increased the excellent standards of quality, accuracy and reliability will always be maintained.
