Veteran executive brings proven sales record & deep knowledge of power transmission to help expand Brother’s sub-fractional AC gearmotor & reducer business

Brother Gearmotors, a division of Brother International Corporation that offers a wide range of ultra-reliable, sub-fractional AC gearmotors and reducers for the food & beverage, packaging and material handling industries, has hired Bernie Hurda as its new Director of Sales.

As the newest team member of the Bridgewater, New Jersey-based business unit, Mr. Hurda will steer overall sales strategy, including managing a sales team, overseeing a broad sales structure, and developing additional business channels.

Brother Gearmotors is one of the world’s largest fine-pitch gear manufacturers and meets industry demand for smaller, lighter, reliable and energy-efficient power transmission components.

The company offers a wide range of high-quality, sub-fractional AC gearmotors and reducers in demanding industries such as food & beverage, packaging and material handling.

Mr. Hurda has been involved in the power transmission industry for more than 16 years, beginning his career as a Sales Engineer and, later, serving as Field Sales Manager and eventually National Sales & Marketing Manager.

Mr. Hurda attended the University of Wisconsin, earning an undergraduate degree in Marketing Education and an MBA in Management. A father of three, he resides with his wife in Sussex, Wisconsin.
