Grundfos have recently extended their packaged booster sets by introducing of a new range of a single-phase pre-packaged CMB/CMBE booster sets. These new models are based around the Grundfos CM stainless steel booster pumps and are suitable for use in many different applications that require clean water to be delivered from a cold water storage tank, such as when boosting to pressurised hot and cold water systems, irrigation systems and above ground storage tanks and water transfer applications.

The family covers flow rates of up to 5m3/hr at 3 to 4.5 bar and offer many features and benefits including:

•   compact size
•   easy to set up and use
•   quiet operation
•   built-in motor protection
•   suitable for potable water – major components are WRAS approved
•   ready availability due to local stocking policy

Available as fixed speed or variable speed units, the range offers uses CM/CME pumps that come complete with a PM2 Pressure Manager on fixed speed variants, and an optional 8L vessel. Variable speed options are fitted with an integral sensor and gauge.

Sets are factory commissioned and just need connection to an electrical supply and storage tank and are ready to go. With the flexibility to be used in a range of domestic and light commercial applications, this addition to the Grundfos booster family has been very well received and is attracting a great level of interest due to its ability to deliver flexible boosting solutions in one reliable compact unit.
