Winkworth, the UK’s largest industrial mixer manufacturer has officially launched a brand new competition.

With a rich heritage of machines installed in worldwide locations and a diversity of industries, their quest is on to discover their longest-serving mixer in the UK.*

They are keen to identify the oldest Winkworth mixer still in regular service which will qualify for The 2010 Always Mixing All Ways Award.

The mixer must still be functioning and in everyday use in order to be eligible, and the overall winner will be rewarded with a luxury weekend for two.

The competition was officially unveiled at Total Processing & Packaging 2010 at the NEC, Birmingham.

Overseeing the launch was Grant Jamieson, Managing Director of the Winkworth Group, and Chris Buxton, Chief Executive Officer of the Processing & Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA).

“The Winkworth name is synonymous with long life and very low whole life costs of ownership,” said Grant Jamieson.

“All of our mixers have been built to last (the newest ones benefit from 3D dynamic modelling technology). We are keen to discover our longest serving mixer in the UK which is still in everyday use.”

He added: “Throughout the company’s 86 years history Winkworth’s aims have been constant – to deliver unbeatable mixing expertise, customer value and service, assistance, choice and mixing performance to our customers all over the world.

“Now the search is on to find our longest serving operational commercial mixer and we are excited by the prospect of hearing from our loyal users nationwide.”
