NEW GUIDE EXPLAINS TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT BEST PRACTICE FOR PHARMACEUTICAL DISTRIBUTION
A new best practice guide is now available from ABB offering advice on the best techniques to safely record the storage and transportation temperatures of pharmaceutical products.
Prepared by ABB’s instrumentation experts, the pdf-format booklet is aimed at anyone responsible for storing or transporting medicinal produce such as drugs, vaccines, insulins and blood products. It highlights the role that instrumentation can play in protecting against the effects of external temperature conditions on product quality and stability.
The booklet offers guidance on how to meet the different temperature requirements associated with various cold storage methods and products, such as low or high volume, high-risk products, walk in units and freezers. Other areas covered include refrigerated transportation, cool storage, ambient storage, calibration and thermal mapping of facilities.
