Schenck Process shows comprehensive capabilities at PPMA – Stand E65

Listen to this article

Schenck Process are exhibiting their full range of process solutions at the 2012 PPMA including Vacuum Conveying, Weighing and Feeding machines and Dust Filtration systems.  All of the technologies have working exhibits to demonstrate their high performance and capabilities for all industry sectors.

With the incorporation of Clyde Process, experts in pneumatic conveying systems, into the Schenck Process group, the Company is now able to offer a unique combination of experience and knowledge to improve production processes.  The extensive range of weighing and feeding products can be combined with conveying systems to provide a complete design and installation service, when required.

The Schenck Process vacuum conveying technology is based on a modular concept that have a number of options for unloading sacks, and bulk bags using suction wands or tank base manifolds, for example. Flow promotion machines are available as an option. These systems allow for conveying of even the most difficult materials and hygienic linings can be used to convey fragile products, such as tablets and capsules.

For the accurate weighing and feeding of dry solids the Schenck Process PureFeed product range offers high and low feed speeds with accuracy rates of +/- 1.0 g/hr.  The PureFeed AP machine utilises a auger feeder with the patented “Wire Helix” mechanism to ensure that difficult to handle materials flow freely and for the machine to be easily dismantled for regular cleaning.

For Dust Filtration Schenck Process  are to exhibit the MCF filter system. The system includes a circular casing, which makes the MCF filter extremely robust and easy to install. The product incorporates an improved bag cleaning system which means that smaller filters than normal can be used. Additionally, the MCF does not use compressed air, so valuable plant air is freed up for other applications. The MCF can handle air flows from 20 000 to around 300 000 m3 per hour.
