SIEMENS PARTNERS WITH BRAMMER TO PROMOTE MOTOX S SERIES

Listen to this article

Siemens Industry is partnering Brammer to promote its range of compact geared motors, the Motox ‘S’ Series.

Ideal for busy and fast-moving production facilities in food and beverage plants and distribution warehouses, with many conveyors and requirements for reliable geared motors taking up minimal footprint, the Siemens Motox S delivers cost-effectiveness with maximum efficiency.

Worm geared motors are very popular in the UK for their reliability over long-term operating periods, and therefore ideal for applications such as roller, sorting or belt conveyors.

The Siemens Motox single-stage worm gearbox is available in two sizes, with a torque range of up to 80 Nm and a power spectrum from 0.12 kW to .75 kW (4-pole). It incorporates an IEC B14 flanged motor, for better interchangeability and easier maintenance. It can additionally be offered in torque arm, foot and flange-mounted versions, as well as with solid or hollow shaft, and Brammer will stock these options along with the units.

Mike Gathercole, general manager of Brammer’s UK gearbox operation, said the new S Range was already proving popular: “The quality and efficiency of these geared motors is excellent and they are simple to integrate with existing drive systems, due to their universal format. We are finding them particularly popular with food and beverage companies.”

The Siemens-Brammer partnership is one of a number of national partnering schemes Siemens is running in the UK, aimed at offering customers total drive solutions, along with increased efficiencies and sustainability. These partnerships are aimed at building good working relationships, providing co-operation and lasting value, and fostering UK manufacturing and engineering expertise.

Ian Steer, regional sales manager at Siemens Industry, said the new series was part of Siemens’ comprehensive UK drive train offer, and was likely to be favoured by customers seeking the most efficient products and systems and to maximise whole asset life.
