Landia’s AirJet delivers effluent efficiency for 2 Sisters Food Group

Listen to this article

Landia’s AirJet aeration system, which reduces particle sizes in effluent treatment plants, has become an integral part of a successful wastewater system at a world class food company, serving the retail, foodservice and manufacturing sectors.

2 Sisters Food Group, who produce own-label and household name brands such as Foxs Biscuits and Goodfellas Pizzas, introduced two exterior-mounted 11 kW Landia AirJets at its Flixton manufacturing site in Suffolk in order to break down any lumps and dry matter in its wastewater prior to discharge.

The 1500 rpm AirJets benefit from Landia’s rugged MPTK chopper pumps, which have a specially designed knife system to remain unblocked and trouble-free for 2 Sisters Food Group, who also produce poultry, chilled, bakery and frozen products for the likes of Tesco, Asda, Costa and Marks & Spencer.

Propeller-free, and capable of oxygen transfer rate (SOTR) up to approximately 21 kg O2 per hour, Landia’s AirJets have a capacity of up to around 3,800 m³/hour.
