The Grundfos Group have just announced their 2007 results that shows a growth in turnover translating to a new annual sales high of £1.68 billion.

The new emerging markets within Eastern Europe, Russia, Asia and China showed strong growth, as might be expected, however even the traditional more mature markets within Western Europe showed a healthy 6% growth.

2007 also saw the globalisation of the Group continue with the opening of new factories in Hungary and Mexico, a sales company in Kazakhstan and the acquisition of Peerless Pumps in the US.

Research & Development remained a major focus for Grundfos with the emphasis on continuing the establishment of competence centres outside of Denmark focussing on motors, software and general pump development in India, Hungary and China.

The Group has also laid out its views on where Grundfos will be in 2025 via its “Innovation Intent” plan and the steps they are putting into place to achieve their ambitions.

In the short term they are expecting 9% growth in Group turnover in 2008, which will mean they continue to be on course to achieve their £2 billion sales target ambition in 2010.
