Mechanical seals and bearing technologies

With process operators looking to increase reliability and minimise energy usage John Crane’s Power-Gen Europe stand had something to interest everyone. It emphasised the company’s extended product range – from mechanical seals and bearing technologies through to filtration systems and leading-edge measurement systems – plus its global network of service and support facilities.

The versatility of John Crane’s mechanical seals was a prominent theme, as typified by the recently launched Type 3740 cartridge split seal which can service either wet-running or dry-running applications from a single design platform. John Crane’s Metastream power transmission couplings also featured, including the new M Series ZMH flexible membrane coupling which is specifically designed for power industry applications

John Crane’s range of engineered bearings were featured, all designed to offer a high-precision, cost-effective solution for a wide range of applications. They were complimented by a wide range of associated products including temperature instrumentation, hydrogen seals, labyrinths and oil deflectors.

Power-Gen visitors also saw John Crane’s specialised Indufil filtration systems for a wide range of fluid, fuel and gas conditioning applications – plus the company’s LASE-A-LIGN EX™ measurement and alignment system for use in hazardous environments.
