The Green Apple Awards are International Awards run by The Green Organisation – an independent, non-political, non-profit environmental group dedicated to recognizing, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice from around the world.

The 2011 awards were held on 14th November, in the very prestigious surroundings of the House of Commons where the winners were announced. This was the 7th consecutive Green Apple award that Grundfos Pumps were in the running for, proving once again the importance the company places on all aspects of energy efficiency.

This years’ entry into the Manufacturing section was in support of Grundfos’ range of energy efficient Blueflux motors. The entry explained that Grundfos Blueflux represents ‘best in class’ technology as these motors have been optimized to cut out waste and are years ahead of legislative demands.

Grundfos were delighted when they were announced as the overall winners of the Gold award in their category and see this both as a recognition and a reflection that the technological advances that the company continues to invest heavily in, continue to be recognised both within the industry, as well as on a wider environmental platform.
