Food Safety Specialist Celebrates 50 years
Anritsu Industrial Solutions Ltd., one of the leading manufacturers of product quality assurance systems in the world, is commemorating half a century in improving food safety standards.
The company, established in Japan, turned to food technology 50 years ago having established a reputation for manufacturing cutting edge electronic equipment. Anritsu’s first checkweigher was developed in the mid-1960s, based on their own highly sensitive displacement sensors. Continuing advances in the company’s trademark creative technology have enabled Anritsu to expand steadily into a global force in food measurement and safety.
The company has an impressive number of X-ray, metal detection and checkweighing systems installed around the world. Its range of highly sensitive equipment is designed to protect consumers from contaminants in food products as well as maintaining the reputation of food manufacturers. Anritsu’s Sales Manager Glen Oxborough explained: “We offer customers tried and tested equipment that ensures the safety of their products. That’s peace of mind for manufacturers that there are no foreign bodies in their food products for sale on shelves and at the same time increases consumer confidence.”
Anritsu’s X-ray inspection systems satisfy every regulatory safety standard around the world. UltraHD technology in the systems means the most minute contaminants are detected, from tiny pieces of metal or glass to stones measuring just 1mm or less in both raw and finished products – whilst maintaining high production line speeds. The company’s checkweighers not only weigh products with high speed and precision, they also link with data from fillers and packaging equipment to provide a recording function. An LCD touch screen allows manufacturers to see the product’s weight and other information immediately.
Increased orders for Anritsu products have seen the company increase their UK presence and open a new sales and service office in Bromsgrove to support their growing UK and European customer base. Customers can visit the Bromsgrove site for live product demonstrations, training and product testing. Just to prove how confident the company is in its products, Anritsu is pleased to offer a free production line trial.
The company’s 50 year anniversary is certainly not seen as an excuse for complacency – the drive for new products goes on. The next 12 months will see Anritsu launch new generation X-ray equipment and more sophisticated checkweighers and the company is also focusing on making better technology available to an even broader range of users.
Anritsu designs and develops all its products in-house to support every solution with 100% confidence. Its food safety solutions have earned global recognition for their outstanding performance, capability and credibility.
