High powered vent dryers introduced into the Brownell drum vent range were designed to ensure maximum protection of liquid storage vessel contents against moisture contamination and to minimise pressure differential and odour emissions while also reducing the build-up of ignitable vapours and assisting flame suppression.
These rechargeable units come in two sizes for high duty or standard applications and offer a dual thread mounting option to simplify installation in a wider range of applications. An externally visible colour change signals users to change the beaded molecular sieves, via an access port plug, to simplify maintaining full protection.

Opening an unprotected vessel in normal use immediately admits humidity and water vapour in the airspace contaminates the fluid when it is drawn or the air above it is displaced or moved by normal temperature variations and barometric pressure. This can seriously alter many of a fluids active properties.
The high powered vents active desiccant bed retains any moisture before it can enter the vessel and can even remove existing condensation when fitted to new vessels of polished fluid. It also provides full weather protection.
