ABB MAINTAINS LEADING DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM MARKET SHARE WORLDWIDE
In a recently published study titled “Distributed Control Systems Worldwide Outlook,” industry analyst ARC Advisory Group ranked ABB in the leading worldwide market position in this core automation market.
The report states that 2006s growth exceeded ARCs expectations. Factors for this trend included high energy prices, the growing worldwide demand for energy, as well as industrys need to improve their plant operations to meet increasing regulatory requirements, and modernising the aging installed base. ARC estimates the total installed base of DCS systems worldwide to be over $65 billion.
