Listen to this article

ABB has opened a new production facility in China for the manufacture of low voltage generators.

ABB Tellhow Generators Ltd., a joint venture between Tellhow Sci-Tech Co., Ltd. and ABB (China) Ltd. will produce advanced low voltage synchronous generators with leading edge technology. These generators accentuate reliability and power efficiency and will meet the growing consumer demand for power saving products as the whole world seeks to reduce energy consumption and cut down emissions.

The new facility is located at the Nanchang National High and New Technology Industry Development Zone. ABB Tellhow Generators Ltd. has a factory floor space of 10,000 square meters with an additional 2,600 square meters for office buildings. The goal is to design and manufacture low voltage synchronous generators with an annual production capacity of 6,000 units. The site meets ABB’s globally recognised environmental protection standards and employs advanced energy-saving technology as well as a professional waste treatment system to ensure environmentally-friendly production.

“The inauguration of ABB’s global production site for low voltage generators shows ABB’s further commitment to its long term growth in China,” says Brice Koch, the chairman and president of ABB China. “It is also a great milestone in turning the joint venture into a generator production flagship in China.”

Mr. Huang Daifang, vice chairman of ABB Tellhow Generators Ltd., says: “ABB has not only introduced leading technologies, but it also has outstanding management, which ensures sustainable profit growth for the joint venture. I am sure our customised products will bring long-term value to our customers,” says the representative of the Chinese partner.

ABB Tellhow Generator Ltd.’s series of low voltage synchronous generators are manufactured for either land-based or marine applications, in the power range of 15 – 1400 kVA for land based and 500- 5000 kVA for marine applications. They not only provide reliable emergency power supplies for offices, schools, hospitals and factories, but also meet the stringent technical requirements for telecommunications and different industrial applications, such as marine, pulp & paper and chemical industry.
