Advanced Material Processing (AMP) and Automated Handling Solutions announced that they have signed a merger agreement and will rebrand under a new identity called Akona Process Solutions (Akona). The newly established entity is a portfolio company of May River Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm.
Akona brings together the expertise and global reach of AMP and AHS under one roof to provide the widest portfolio of material handling and processing solutions for industries such as high-value industry food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and chemicals.
The company will continue to utilise the strong Cablevey, Kason, Marion, and Spiroflow brands, collectively representing more than 200 years of experience in solving complicated material processing and handling applications. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, Akona operates engineering, sales, and service centres of excellence throughout the United States and Europe.
