AkzoNobel to Highlight Revolutionary Powder Coating Technology at FABTECH USA 2025

At this year's FABTECH USA, one of North America's premier metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing events, AkzoNobel will showcase how its cutting-edge Interpon powder coating technologies are improving the efficiency, lowering the consumption of energy, and helping manufacturers and coaters meet their sustainability goals.

AkzoNobel is furthering what is possible with powder coatings both by innovation in new products and innovation in application methods.

Flightpath Pro – Intelligent application with AI

One key innovation to be showcased will be Flightpath Pro, a high-tech software solution developed in collaboration with coatingAI. The software helps customers to optimise application settings more accurately and under their control. By optimising processes, coaters and producers can save waste, increase consistency and achieve high-quality finishes which improve productivity and competitiveness.

Innovating for sustainability with powder coatings

These visitors will also see how Interpon low cure powder coatings are designed to reduce oven curing temperatures. This is less energy intensive and more economical in terms of coating process costs overall, without sacrificing performance levels.

For corrosion protection buyers, Interpon Redox PZ is a zinc-rich primer that delivers the best-in-class durability on blast-cleaned steel. By extending product life and reducing maintenance or replacement needs, it delivers cost savings as well as environmental benefits.

Solutions for speed and durability

Also to be highlighted will be Interpon 810, which is ultra-durable, TGIC-free powder coating now UL certified for use on outdoor electrical enclosures. With 106 colours available, it offers long-lasting corrosion protection in harsh outdoor conditions.

For fast turn-around needs of companies, Interpon Ready to Ship (RTS) range has more than 400 colours and technologies and provides delivery within two days. RTS enables the coaters to be more responsive to changing customer demands, reduce lead times and ease inventory burdens, providing greater flexibility in today's competitive world.
