Beamex And Siemens Collaborate To Enable Paperless Calibration Workflows
Thanks to close cooperation between Beamex and Siemens, customers using Siemens Lifecycle Management Suite (LMS) can now take advantage of integration with Beamex CMX Calibration Management Software.
The integration, which is introduced with the launch of version 1.3 of LMS, enables Siemens LMS customers to generate a paperless flow of calibration data, save time, and reduce the risk of errors in their calibration documentation with an automated and digitalised workflow.
There are also considerable benefits for CMX users as a result of the integration with Siemens LMS such as instrument data synchronisation, ensuring the correct instrument information is always used for the calibration.
“We are pleased to have found Beamex, a partner whose professional calibration software we could integrate into our Siemens Lifecycle Management Suite”, says Kathrin Kolberg, Head of Sales and Marketing, Services for Process Automation, Siemens AG.
Beamex CMX Calibration Management Software is an automated, vertically integrated digital solution that helps customers plan, manage, analyse, and document all calibration work and assets safely and efficiently. It is easy to use, reducing the time and cost of calibration work while removing the risk of human error and minimising the risk of non-compliance.
Siemens Lifecycle Management Suite is an IT platform for the optimised maintenance of process automation. Siemens optimises plant maintenance with planning, implementation, and documentation of all service activities.
Based on COMOS MRO, the preconfigured system provides standard operating procedures for lifecycle services that are assigned to existing integrated SIMATIC PCS 7 system components and process instrumentation.
“Our combined Software as a Service offering is a good example of a solution where the whole is far greater than the sum of its parts. It helps customers in the process industry to effectively support the digital transformation of their asset management and calibration processes,” says Antonio Matamala, Country Manager, Beamex Germany.
