Bredel Hose Pumps, part of the Watson-Marlow Pumps Group, is celebrating its 50-year anniversary as the world leader in the manufacture of high-pressure hose pumps.
Since 1961, Bredel has been at the cutting edge of peristaltic pump technology. Half a century ago, it was the first manufacturer to make the peristaltic pump principle work for heavy-duty industrial applications. Now, Bredel, as part of the Watson-Marlow Pumps Group, is supported by direct sales offices in 21 countries and representation in over 50 more.
A testament to Bredel’s 50 years of supplying trusted engineering and process expertise across a wide range of industries, the company now has over 75,000 of its patented hose pumps installed worldwide. The Bredel pumps are capable of delivering flow rates up to 80 cubic metres/hour (350 US gpm) and pressures up to 16 bar. Since they have no valves, seals or glands, and the fluid contacts only the bore of the hose or tube, they are simple to install, easy to use, and quick to maintain.

The only part of the pump to come into contact with the product is the tube or hose. This means there are no seals or valves that can wear or fail. Replacing the tube or hose can be performed quickly and safely. Peristaltic pump benefits include:
