Busch Vacuum Solutions introduces Smart TYR PLUS Rotary Lobe Blower
Busch Vacuum Solutions, part of the global Busch Group, has introduced the new TYR PLUS, a smart evolution of its high-performance TYR series of rotary lobe blowers. Aimed at industry applications like wastewater treatment and pneumatic conveying, the TYR PLUS features an on-board variable speed drive (VSD) to reduce energy usage and operating expenses.
TYR PLUS rotary lobe blower combines high performance with energy savings and minimal footprint. It has a footprint of less than 3 m² and features flexible monitoring and control, making it a universal solution for many industrial applications.
Ready today for volume flows of 900 to 4,000 m³/h, TYR PLUS is manufactured in four models with a maximal relative differential pressure of between -500 and +800 hPa (mbar) and are available in either an overpressure or vacuum version.
Universal performance with low energy consumption
The majority of industrial systems experience varying demand, creating peaks and troughs in overpressure or vacuum demand. Power consumption can vary up to 50% between peak and base load operation in some cases.
In contrast to traditional blowers running at fixed speeds, the TYR PLUS automatically changes its rotational speed via its VSD, with inherent energy savings and reduced operating costs.
Embedded intelligence for intelligent monitoring
The TYR PLUS also includes real-time condition monitoring intelligence software. This built-in capability offers operation flexibility and early warning notification for potential equipment issues.
By continuously tracking and monitoring parameters like power consumption, temperature and inlet and outlet pressure, the system creates a baseline of normal operation. Operators are alerted immediately if values deviate from this standard.
There are monitoring and control functions by means of an intuitive colour touch screen, conveniently positioned at 1.5 metres height.
