Condition Monitoring Pod Gets Upgrade
Today Luneta announces an upgrade to its Condition Monitoring Pod (CMP), a multi-parameter lubricant inspection tool that has helped revolutionise the industry. The company”s engineers have redesigned the CMP’s sight glass and upgraded its material to super-tough Tritan™.
Through research and testing, Luneta engineers discovered Tritan™, one of the most impact-resistant materials available, and decided that it was a natural fit for exposed components like the CMP”s sight glass.
During the redesign process, they also took the opportunity to add structural reinforcement as well as Viton O-rings to both the corrosion indicator and the magnetic plug to ensure a consistent seal.
By leveraging the CMP’s unique features, an array of critical machine and lubricant conditions can be examined in just seconds. The built-in sampling port, removable corrosion indicator, magnetic plug and integrated 3-D sight glass make real-time condition monitoring both accessible and affordable for any plant’s critical assets.
This design, coupled with a lower price, makes the new and improved CMP a better value than ever before.
