Dixon Launches Hose Connect: A Comprehensive Asset Management Solution for Enhanced Plant Safety and Efficiency
Today, plant safety is an ongoing endeavour where it is impossible to be an expert in every field. Each day employees are exposed to workplace hazards, Dixon’s Hose Connect programme can help provide a safer working environment especially where flexible hose assemblies are concerned.
The use of damaged, wrongly specified or incorrectly installed hose assemblies, couplings and related items does occur. To the untrained eye, these hazards may continue to exist until an accident happens threatening not only plant machinery but also the well-being of personnel.
Workplace safety is part of the Dixon culture. We recognise the need for onsite safety and the importance that hose management holds. As a result, Dixon now offers hose and coupling safety surveys along with our hose management platform; Hose Connect.
Dixon Hose Connect is a secure and user-friendly web-based asset management software designed to provide customers with clear visibility and comprehensive data regarding the health status of their onsite assets. This solution collaborates with your business to manage your equipment effectively and accurately.
During a site inspection a trained Dixon technician will visually inspect and catalogue all onsite assets at your facility and log these onto the Hose Connect software, in real-time, using unique tagging references and hose identifiers. The programme reviews the status of various hose and coupling applications throughout a plant/facility recording the installation, fitness for purpose and condition.
On completion of the survey, Dixon will present the findings in a detailed report. The data collated gives a full technical and conditional analysis, assessing and calculating the risk of each asset.
Any observations on the health status of each asset from the visual inspection are updated whether this be identifying potential problems, recommending change-outs, suggesting installation or application changes or recommending cost-saving options.
Site audits are recommended to be carried out on a regular cycle of to ensure hoses are fit for purpose. Dixon advocates every 6 months to tie in with ISO audits but this can vary depending on the requirements at each site.
Dixon Hose Connect is a secure, user-friendly web-based asset management software offering customers visibility and detailed data on the health status of their onsite assets. It is a solution that works with your business to manage your assets and equipment, effectively and accurately.
Dixon Hose Connect serves as ‘the right connection’ to help your business optimise workflows and minimize downtimes by enhancing safety, saving both time and revenue, and improving operational efficiency. It offers complete visibility and a paperless approach to asset registration, maintenance, and management.
Dixon is here to support your efforts in making the facilities you service as safe, efficient, and productive as possible.
