EMCO HEAVY-DUTY LEVEL SWITCHES FROM PVL COMPATIBLE WITH SOLARTRON MOBREY SWITCHES
Just announced by Pressure Vacuum Level Ltd is a new range of top-quality industry standard heavy duty level switches that is totally compatible with and is a cost-effective replacement for Solartron Mobrey heavy duty level switches. PVL supplies all necessary flanges, gaskets and fitting kits to make replacement straightforward.
The Emco side-entry heavy duty level switch, available from PVL at only £180, uses a Type A mounting flange and has standard M20 x 1.5 mm cable gland connections. Manufactured from stainless steel, it is tested to 100 Bar pressure and to operate in liquids to 225°C and ambient temperatures up to 80°C.

An Emco top-entry heavy duty level switch with variable hysteresis adjustment is available for tanks up to 3,000mm deep – there is a video demonstration of its operation on the PVL web site at www.pvl.co.uk/emco. The lever carries a permanent magnet which is opposed by a similar magnet in the switch housing. These magnets are separated by the mating flange of the level switch which offers excellent sealing. Both the top and side-entry models have a choice of switching options including SPDT with gold or silver contacts, NAMUR and pneumatic, the pneumatic being safe for hazardous environments. Approvals include Det Norske Veritas, Lloyds Register of Shipping and Bureau Veritas.
