Emerson expands its PROFIBUS digital protocol offering to include Rosemount® pressure and temperature transmitters

A complete Emerson device portfolio now supports PROFIBUS PA profile V3.02, providing PROFIBUS users with the latest interoperable devices

Emerson Process Management has expanded its PROFIBUS offering to include the Rosemount® 3051 pressure transmitter and Rosemount 644 temperature transmitter, both available with PROFIBUS PA profile V3.02. Now more than ever, Emerson can provide customers with a comprehensive offering of PROFIBUS solutions, making it easier to have one protocol for an entire plant.

PROFIBUS PA is the latest addition to the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter, and continues the tradition of releasing industry first capabilities with a Local Operator Interface that features simple addressing and configuration at the transmitter. PROFIBUS PA is available on the complete Rosemount 3051 family of products including 3051CF flowmeters and 3051L level transmitters.

The versatile Rosemount 644 has also expanded its platform to include PROFIBUS, making it even easier for the flexible DIN A Head Mount design to fit customers’ needs. Now existing PROFIBUS PA users can experience the benefits of the Rosemount 644 temperature transmitter equipped with custom addressing capability.
