Verification technology for Rosemount® magnetic flowmeters tests the complete meter in minutes, without any process impact
Emerson Process Management has expanded its suite of Smart Meter Verification technology products to include Rosemount® magnetic flowmeters. Smart Meter Verification delivers complete, on-line verification of device performance, saving significant expense by reducing labour and outsourced calibration service costs, while eliminating process interruption.
Easy to operate Smart Meter Verification technology is embedded in the transmitter functionality to verify calibration and the complete health of the sensor, electronics, and analogue loop. Measurement integrity feedback is delivered in under two minutes and can be set to run continuously in the background or on-demand at the touch of a button.
With no need to remove the meter from the line or stop the process flow, Smart Meter Verification increases availability and reduces costs by minimising manpower and services to check or calibrate meters. Reduced trips to the field improves the safety of plant personnel; and because there is no need to break process seals to check on the health of the device, Smart Meter Verification technology reduces environmental impact.
