FDF Food & Drink Engineer of the Year
Spirax Sarco would like to extend its congratulations to James Cheema of Nestlé UK & Ireland for being named Food & Drink Engineer of the Year at the Food & Drink Federation (FDF) Awards 2014.
James was presented with the award by Sheldon Banks, Director UK & ROI at Spirax Sarco, which sponsored the Food & Drink Engineer of the Year category for the first time.
Mr Banks commented: “As an engineering company that serves the vital food and drink sector, we are very proud to be sponsoring the 2014 FDF Food & Drink Engineer of the Year award.
“We recognise the importance of the profession not only within the Food & Drink industry itself, but also as a career path to help address the shortage of engineers in the UK generally. This is why we felt it essential to honour those who are doing a great job.
“We’d therefore like to congratulate James for doing such tremendous work in this field.”
James is a final year engineering graduate working at Nestlé UK & Ireland”s Girvan plant. During his time with Nestlé James project managed the integration of a new £1 million installation, resulting in significant food safety advances, increased plant reliability and increased energy efficiency of assets. He has also taken an active role in organising regular forums for young engineers within Nestlé, enabling them to share experiences and examples of best practice.
