Warranty extended from 18 months to five years across Siemens industrial ethernet switch portfolio, SCALANCE
Siemens UK & Ireland is offering users of communication network solutions from its SCALANCE range a five year warranty. The new extensive warranty applies across all SCALANCE products delivered from 1st January 2015.
The SCALANCE industrial remote communication portfolio is designed primarily for use in diverse industrial applications. The comprehensive range is tailored to meet data communication requirements across varied industries and provides users with highly efficient industrial networks and bus systems.

- SCALANCE X – Industrial ethernet switches which enable optimum solutions for all types of switching tasks.
- SCALANCE W – Industrial wireless LAN which opens up more flexibility in network planning and even provides protection against failures with respect to personal and machine safety.
- SCALANCE M – These industrial modems and routers network widely distributed plants or machines with a wide range of modems and routers – via telephone, mobile wireless or Internet, depending on requirements. The M range was recently extended with the addition of three new routers designed for applications where wireless communication is either restricted or impossible, for example, in water treatment plants or in medical environments
- SCALANCE S – Industrial security product portfolio which offers security solutions specifically for industrial automation technology to avoid risks with respect to data security.
