FM approved advanced fire pump equipment
When lives are at stake, you can’t take chances … which is why the fire safety industry increasingly places its trust in SPP Pumps. Indeed, SPP has more pumps approved by the internationally recognised Loss Prevention Certification Board than any other manufacturer.
Now, the company is pleased to announce that two key pieces of equipment have been granted FM certification. The first is a new horizontal split case fire pump, model BS16E, FM Certified in Special Materials of construction, and is the highest capacity pump (8,000USGpm) listed by FM to date.
The second piece of kit to be given the nod is the FireEye wireless fire-pumping monitoring module. Approved for use with fire pump installations having been examined against FM standard 1310, this sophisticated unit provides information on critical parameters such as fuel level, oil pressure, battery charger status and power loss. Crucially, the customer can instantly access this key data on their website or even via text messages.
David Robinson, Product Development & Technical Support Team Leader at SPP comments: “We’re delighted to have received both of these FM approvals. We continually work hard to deliver products and solutions for our customers that help them to do the best job possible – and in the fire industry this is especially critical. By having these approvals we can give complete assurance that our products really are the very best.”
Manufactured in the UK and USA to the very highest quality, SPP fire pumps meet the requirements of all major international standards, particularly NFPA 20. FM approved and UL listed for use in many markets including Europe, the Far East, Middle East and Africa, world-class protection technology is always at hand.
It is SPP’s commitment to providing solutions that really matter that marks the company as an industry leader. With more than 50 experts working in its applied engineering and R&D divisions, SPP Pumps has the skills and experience to deliver ingenious products across a wide range of sectors, from fire and water to oil & gas.
