Grundfos continues to grow

Despite the difficult global economic climate, the Grundfos Group has announced a healthy 6.5% growth rate which raised their annual turnover to £2.5bn in 2012. Speaking about this result, CEO and Group President Carsten Bjerg explained “that the hard work and focus to increase turnover, streamline the organisation and win market share was successful”.

Still experiencing modest growth in mature markets like the UK, Denmark and Germany, good growth was seen in Eastern Europe – especially in Russia. Other strong performances of note were also returned from the Americas, China and other Asian markets as well as from the Middle East.

Grundfos have always been committed to investing in developing new products and technologies and several new high-tech generations of energy-efficient circulator pumps such as the MAGNA3 which in addition to its very low energy demands; also offers a wireless interface which makes it easier to communicate with the pump via a smartphone or tablet.

In terms of 2013, Grundfos has plans to continue to invest in product R&D and plans to open new production facilities in Serbia and Hungary.
