Included amongst the dignitaries who recently attended the opening of a new Grundfos £12m 18,000 sq ft factory facility in San Luis Potosi, Mexico was Her Majesty Queen Margrethe of Denmark.
Group President Niels Due Jensen commented during his welcome address “in Mexico we have found highly qualified staff, a very good infrastructure and positive authorities and we already feel at home here”.

This important milestone is just part of the Grundfos overall investment plan scheduled for Mexico that will culminate in 2010 when the investment in the infrastructure is expected to have reached £35m and local staff will have risen from the current 150 to 500. Grundfos have had a presence in the Mexican market since 1994 when they opened a sales company close to Monterrey.
Part of the overall growth strategy for the America markets, this decisive step will enable Grundfos to deliver their high-quality products directly to source within a short delivery timescale.
