Since launching their unique S Tube design there has been an increasing interest in the very substantial benefits that this development from Grundfos Pumps delivers to the wastewater industry. The reasons for this are twofold as this solution combines high efficiency and greater solids handling which results in significantly lower running costs in wastewater applications – for the first time.

The new tube shape design means there are no dead zones, as well as no cutting or moving parts that can get worn out, aspects that were recognised as a significant step forward and which saw this advance announced as the overall Technical Innovation winner at the recent Pump Industry Awards.

Grundfos have been supporting this introduction with a campaign that is aptly named ‘No Compromise’ that explains the benefits of the S Tube. The message was made clear to visitors who attended a recent Pump Centre Conference and Exhibition at Telford. This event was aimed at anyone within the pump wastewater supply chain who wants to improve their technical knowledge.

This year, the 782 professional delegates who attended the event were able to directly take the opportunity to learn more about what is new within the industry as well as about a range of technological developments.
