Grundfos Pumps have always recognised that it is an important part of their role as one of the worlds foremost pump solutions providers to provide their customers with tools that will assist them in deciding which pump would best suit their needs, regardless of the application.

This is one reason why Grundfos were the first to develop many of the pump selection tools that have subsequently become industry standards. These aids are constantly reviewed and updated to keep them relevant and include selection guides such as the on-line WebCAPS and the CD based WinCAPS. In addition to these groundbreaking programme driven selectors, there is a range of specialist print materials and an ever-popular range of bespoke slide rules.

The first slide rule aimed specifically at the water industry and incorporating a Friction Loss Calculator was commissioned by Grundfos in 1995 and has recently been updated to include an overview on the increasingly sophisticated range of sewage, effluent and drainage pump families available from them today.
