HACH LANGE is hosting a workshop on Monitoring for Organic Pollutants

The day will give an overview of some of the fundamental aspects of COD, BOD & TOC analysis, whilst showcasing the latest in process and laboratory technology.

The workshop will take place at a number of locations:

– 10 October 2012, Swindon
–  11 October 2012, Nutfield, Surrey

The workshop will include both practical and classroom sessions, and explain the main factors affecting trade effluent cost. In addition, there will be sessions covering both continuous monitoring and sampling for laboratory analysis.
Key topics will include:

  • Introduction to TOC
  • Understanding differences between COD, BOD, TOC
  • Overcoming problems in challenging industrial applications
  • Measuring TOC with a photometer (difference or purging methods)
  • Online measurements for TOC
  • Efficient sampling to reduce costs

As well as experts available during the day, there will be the opportunity for hands on testing.
This is an excellent opportunity to refresh/gain knowledge whilst networking with fellow industry colleagues.

The workshops are free* and includes refreshments, lunch and training materials.
