How Farmers make the most of Heavy Rainfall

Listen to this article

As you may well be aware, the UK is currently experiencing wetter than average weather.  With double the normal amount of rain during December, it proved to be a stormy month with three major storms overall.  In addition, West Country farmers recently suffered flooded land again after torrential rain and high winds in the new year and some areas of the UK received as much as 36mm or rain in 24 hours.

With water prices set to rise for many farmers across the UK in 2014, farmers are beginning to recognise the cost savings and environmental benefits of rainwater harvesting and storage. Enduramaxx Rainwater tanks can be fitted throughout most farming and outside properties to make use of the current weather system, providing farms with surplus water that can be kept within rainwater water storage tanks until required.  This may be at times of shortage or to reduce usage of increasingly charged mains water.

Enduramaxx manufactures a range of water tanks for all rainwater harvesting and water storage requirements.  Our conical tanks (or Cone Tanks) are one such product that can be used to store water and other liquids up to 1.7 specific gravity.  Rationally moulded from medium density polyethylene, Enduramaxx Cone Tanks have also recently been granted WRAS Approval for the storage of drinking water.
