Huntsman and Creaxia to Develop Rapid Manufacturing Market

Listen to this article

Huntsman Advanced Materials, a global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals, and Creaxia Produxia, a prototype parts specialist based in Coignieres, France, are rolling out the award-winning Araldite® Digitalis® in its first ever commercial environment.

Araldite® Digitalis® offers Creaxia a rapid manufacturing solution capable of producing large numbers of parts simultaneously at speed and with a high degree of accuracy.

This move makes possible the realisation of the end-to-end business case for the burgeoning sector of rapid manufacturing from the technology breakthrough through to brand launch.  It also serves to illustrate how a global technology leader and small specialist company can work to effectively synchronise the benefits of technological development with commercial agility and entrepreneurial skill.

The innovative technology from Huntsman has enabled Creaxia to manufacture and market a brand new line of exclusive items including fashion accessories, jewellery and decorative objects.  It also sees the company embracing a diverse range of consumer markets, targeting individuals, designers and artists with the customised service it has developed using Araldite® Digitalis®.

Corinne Dolfi, CEO of CREAXIA PRODUXIA said: “Our aim is to deliver far greater diversity in production than has ever been possible before  , generating exciting opportunities as we develop new avenues to market.”

Thierry Perchet, Marketing Director, Huntsman Advanced Materials EAMEI, added to this:  “The fast and uniform approach and high levels of accuracy delivered by Araldite® Digitalis® is enabling us to shape the future of rapid product development and manufacturing. We’re proud to be associated with such an entrepreneurial name as Creaxia and look forward to focusing on the successful penetration of this breakthrough technology and the new and complete development philosophy that it entails. ”

Araldite® Digitalis® is based on patented micro-electro mechanical systems (MEMS) technology and is superior to any other radiation curing technique on the market.  Its large working envelope builds small, large and multiple parts with great accuracy and at speed, significantly reducing production times and thereby costs.  Easy to use and maintain, the competitive benefits of Araldite® Digitalis® grow exponentially as the number, size and complexity of parts produced increases.

Having won the EuroMold Award 2008 Gold Prize, Araldite® Digitalis® was also recently awarded the ICIS Best Innovation Award 2010.
