Huntsman’s Marine Products Succeed at the Highest Level of Endurance Sport
Less than a month after it first set sail, the ‘CODE8’, a new One Design carbon racing yacht has competed in and won the Keszthely-Kenese Regatta, a non-stop solo sailing race across Lake Balaton in Hungary.
Thanks to Huntsman Advanced Materials, designer Andrej Justin and the team from Carbon Innovation Ltd who crafted the boat, the ‘CODE8’ competed against 27 other participants to complete the 74km race in an impressive 8 hours, coming in 40 minutes before the boat in second place and 8 hours and 45 minutes before the final competitor crossed the finish line.

The ‘CODE8’ is due to compete in the Centomiglia at Lake Garda on 10th September as well as the TBS cup at Lake Balaton on 23rd September and the Barcolana on 9th October.
