In particular, it details the reasons why 4-wire RTD sensors are almost always the best choice for high-accuracy temperature applications. Using 4-wire RTD sensors eliminates the errors caused by a copper lead wire. The paper also explains the relationship between classes of sensors (such as Standard and Premium Grade thermocouples and Class A RTDs) and their error rates.
