Integrated Industry is the HARTING Technology Group”s key topic at the Hannover Fair (Hall 11, Stand C 13) from the 13th to 17th April 2015. The HARTING display includes a live demonstration of a production line demonstrating solutions for Integrated Industry.
With its presence at Hannover, the company is positioning itself as a trailblazer for technological change. “Integrated Industry will change almost all industrial companies in the coming years, and we offer customers tailor-made solutions and accompany them along the way”, says Dr. Volker Franke, Managing Director, HARTING Applied Technologies.
The HARTING production line demonstration presents the topic of Integrated Industry holistically and combines elements such as the FlexiMon flexible assembly system, a research project conducted within the framework of the “it”s OWL” (Intelligent Technical Systems Ostwestfalenlippe – an alliance of 174 businesses) leading-edge cluster, with system integration solutions based on SAP enterprise software. “With this production line we have also included aspects of the Smart Factory, the internet of things and services, and the Industrial Internet”, comments Claus Hilger, Managing Director, HARTING IT Services.
A “Plug & Produce” modularisation concept based on HARTING”s Han-Modular interconnection standard is also implemented in the demonstrator. The production unit with three production cells is linked into the fabrication environment via a smart infrastructure solution.
