Low Cost Hand-held Process Instrumentation Current Loop and Voltage Calibrator with a Direct Reading Display
The new CAL-2 from Stroud Instruments is a low cost hand-held process instrumentation current loop and voltage calibrator with a direct reading display.
Designed with process instrumentation technicians in mind, the calibrator provides current outputs in the range 0 – 20mA (sink and source) and voltage outputs in the range 0 – 10V.
By connecting the calibrator in place of the signal transmitter or transducer, instruments such as signal converters, recorders, panel meters, trip amplifiers, etc. can be set up and checked for accuracy under controlled conditions.
In 20mA current sink mode the calibrator will simulate two-wire transmitters.

The CAL-2 is supplied with a set of test leads, batteries and a synthetic rubber protective boot. The protective boot has a flip out stand – useful for test bench fault-finding work. An optional universal mains power adapter is also available.
