Maguire Weigh Scale Blender Helps Train Plastic Packaging Supplier

Listen to this article

Summit Systems is delighted to provide a Maguire Weigh Scale Blender, to RPC Promens’ state of the art European Training Centre at Rushden. The blender will be used to train apprentices, new operators and existing employees.

Carl Boniface, Technical Manager at the RPC Promens Training Centre says:
“We have successfully deployed Maguire gravimetric blenders across the group for many years in the UK and Europe. They have worked extremely well and reliably for us and I am pleased to say, to our good fortune, appear to be the preferred standard for most of our recent acquisitions at Superfos and Promens. It therefore makes perfect sense to have this equipment to train our apprentices and operators on best practice across the Group companies.”

Mike Jordan, Managing Director at Summit Systems says:
“We have enjoyed an incredibly long partnership with RPC Promens spanning 3 decades and are privileged to support their training scheme. With so many Maguire blenders located throughout their global portfolio, it made perfect sense to provide one for educational purposes.”

RPC Promens Group has grown substantially over the past decade via a series of mergers and acquisitions. Its amalgamation strategy has enabled huge economies of scale, however, merging businesses inherently brings inconsistency in process. It recognised the need for a standard RPC Promens means of working, which the Rushden Training Centre aims to deliver.

The centre mirrors a real production line with a blow moulder, granulator, belt, blender and various work stations. Pupils are taught how to use equipment and the theory behind it in classroom facilities.
