MARECHAL Decontactors™ add enhanced electrical safety features to NESL’s ATEX non-entry cleaning systems and pumps
MARECHAL DECONTACTOR™ plugs and sockets are now fitted as standard to enhance the electrical safety of ATEX-compliant pumps and cleaning systems manufactured by Non-Entry Systems Limited (NESL).

MARECHAL Decontactors not only allow us to introduce additional features which enhance the electrical safety of our end-products, but also allow our customers to improve productivity and reduce maintenance downtime compared to other plug-based or hard-wired connections.”
The MARECHAL Decontactors feature a unique design, which combines a quick-release button and integral isolation switch, allowing the electrical supply to be disconnected under load and re-connected in seconds, in complete safety, and without the need for a qualified electrician. The isolation switch eliminates the risk of sparks, whilst the quick-release button supports fast connection and disconnection which reduces downtime and maintenance costs and also increases productivity. The Decontactors are automatically sealed to IP65 (DX range) or IP66/67 (DXN range) as soon as the plug is inserted into the socket, as well as when disconnected (lid closed), to provide a water-tight and dust-tight connection.
NESL fit 20A polyamide-cased DXN1, and 150A metal-cased DX9 Decontactors, as the standard connectors on their pumps and non-entry cleaning systems. Both versions of the Decontactors are rated for voltages up to 750 V.a.c. and offer “de“ level protection, compliant with the ATEX 94/9/CE Directive for zones 1 and 2 (gas) and zones 21 and 22 (dust). MARECHAL’s complete range of ATEX-rated Decontactors covers power and control connectors with power ratings of 5A to 200A and up to 37 control pins, as well as single-pole versions up to 680A.
With silver-nickel butt contacts and shock-ratings up to IK10, the Decontactors are resistant to corrosion and contamination from oil, chemicals, or harsh operating environments, to achieve high reliability over a long operational lifetime, regardless of the number of times that they are connected and disconnected.
