MasoSine Certa TM to be launched at PPMA 2016

– The cleanest pump you will ever need

The new MasoSine CertaTM  pump from Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group will make its UK market debut at the PPMA Total Exhibition (Sept 27-29, NEC). This latest innovation from the world leader in niche peristaltic and sinusoidal pumps and fluid path technologies promises to set a new benchmark in clean pumping for all food and beverage industry applications.

Introducing Certa TM from MasoSine

Certa TM is latest innovation from MasoSine, the creators of Sine® pump technology. Its launch has set even higher pumping standards in food processing. Offering EHEDG (Type EL Class I) and 3A certification, Certa is extremely easy to clean for minimal maintenance and downtime.

CertaTM completes the existing MasoSine product range by offering users a fully CIP capable pump at flow rates up to 99,000 l/hr. Users can be assured that media is pumped safely and without degradation.

The Watson-Marlow team will be on hand throughout the exhibition to showcase this advanced innovation in food pump technology. It not only delivers high suction capability to handle viscous products, it offers significant advantages over alternative technologies.

Unlike traditional pumps with rotors that cut through the fluid, Certa’s sinusoidal rotor gently carries fluid through the pump to dramatically reduce shear while cutting power consumption by up to 50% with high viscosity fluids.

Visitors to the stand will be able to see Certa for themselves: the company’s product management and food applications team will demonstrate how the food-contact compliant Certa Sine® pump offers all of the typical advantages and high performance levels delivered by proven MasoSine sinusoidal technology.

For example, all contact parts on the CertaTM  sine pump are FDA and EC1935 compliant.  It can also significantly minimise the cleaning time which results in a more efficient production procedure. As well as minimising downtime, this quick procedure also means that chemical and water use is reduced, while less wastewater requires disposal.

Flexicon Liquid Filling

Also on display on Stand F30 will be a range of solutions from another of Watson-Marlow’s nine business groups, Flexicon Liquid Filling Systems. The presence of Flexicon technology at PPMA Total secures the Group Company’s unique position as the only company in the process technology /specialist filling and packaging arena to be able to provide a complete package of fluid technology expertise.

Flexicon Liquid Filling Systems manufactures a range of products from stand-alone units for hand filling, through semi-automatic systems, to fully automatic filling, stoppering and capping machines. Flexicon’s systems are designed for small to medium sized batch production.

Likely to be of particular interest to visitors will be Flexicon’s fully automatic systems which are customised to fill any container, be it a vial, bottle, test tube or non-self-standing micro-tube.

About us

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) peristaltic tube and hose pumps meet requirements including: value for money; low cost of ownership; reliability and ease of maintenance to the food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, mining and many other industries.

We demonstrate how pumps deliver significant process efficiencies over the lifetime of the equipment. Whether performing flavouring addition in food processing, chemical metering in water treatment or mineral recovery, we have a solution which can cut pump downtime and reduce costs through higher accuracy metering and transfer. WMFTG has dedicated application engineers available to help customers make the right pump and tubing choice from a range providing microlitres per minute to 80 cubic metres per hour flow rates.

The only part of the pump to come into contact with the product is the tube or hose. This means there are no seals or valves that can wear or fail. Replacing the tube or hose can be performed quickly and safely. Peristaltic pump benefits include:

Total fluid containment with no seals No ancillaries Handle viscous and abrasive slurries and sludge Self-priming capability Dry running without damage to the pump In addition to their range of positive displacement pumps, Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group has added PTFE-lined chemical and industrial hoses to their range. Aflex hoses are reinforced to withstand the most severe conditions and use.
