Mouvex SLC Series Pumps Increase Application Efficiency

Listen to this article

Seal-less design delivers high volumetric efficiency with gentle fluid handling

Mouvex, a leading manufacturer of eccentric disc pumps, is proud to announce its SLC Series Eccentric Disc Pumps—available in SLC1, SLC2 and SLC3 models—deliver increased profitability and lower ongoing maintenance costs in the transfer of various liquids due to its superior volumetric efficiencies. The volumetric performance of the new SLC-Series pumps—unlike gear and lobe pumps that lose efficiency as they wear—sustains high efficiency levels over time, resulting in productivity gains and energy savings.

Used in numerous applications within the processing industries, the Mouvex SLC-Series eccentric disc pump is unlike any other pump technology in the world. Capable of delivering high-volume efficiency while completely maintaining its gentle fluid-handling nature, the new SLC-Series is used to move a wide variety of products and materials.

SLC Series pumps are seal-less, meaning that they require no magnets, no mechanical seals and no packing. This seal-less design allows the SLC pumps to self-compensate for mechanical wear, which gives them the ability to maintain consistent flow rates over time, resulting in productivity gains and energy savings, along with the ability to handle thin, aggressive and abrasive fluids. In addition, the pump shaft is sealed by a double stainless-steel bellows.

Other design features of SLC Series pumps are self-priming and line-stripping capabilities; dry-run operation for up to 10 minutes; low shear rate; high vacuum and compression effect; a reduced number of components; reduced maintenance; and clean-in-place (CIP) / sanitize-in-place (SIP) capabilities.

All three SLC models have speeds up to 1,000 rpms with flow rates from 1 m3/h to 3 m3/h, and differential pressures from 6 bar to 16 bar. SLC pumps are available in stainless steel and ductile iron models capable of handling up to 10,000 cst (46,000 SSU) liquids and working pressures up to 9 bar, depending on model. SLC Series is complemented by Micro C and C Series. Micro C with flow rates from 0.125 to 0.76 m3/h and differential pressures from 3 bar to 15 bar. C Series with flow rates from 1 m3/h to 36 m3/h and differential pressures from 5 bar to 9 bar.
