New Corrosion Detector for glass lined vessels
Pfaudler have launched a new Portable Corrosion Detector that provides fast and effective inspection of glass lined vessels.
The lightweight (390g) Corrosion Detector Portable (CDP) quickly discovers damage that could lead to product contamination or large-scale, costly glass repair – yet it has none of the time-consuming drawbacks of conventional detectors. Standard glass monitoring equipment can emit numerous false alarms when finding a conductive link between the product and the equipotential bonding system that is not actually caused by glass damage. However, Pfaudler’s CDP significantly reduces man-hours because it operates on impedance analysis, only emitting genuine alarms as its measuring electrodes ignore irrelevant electrochemical reactions.
Also suitable for potentially explosive atmospheres and plastic or rubber-coated parts within reactors, Pfaudler’s CDP benefits from an internal memory and USB for documenting results.
