New MD For Process Engineering Management & Consultancy Specialist

Leading project management, process consultancy and control system integration specialist, FMA Process Engineering, of Lichfield, UK, has appointed Paul Bunyan as Managing Director. Formerly FMA’s Sales & Marketing Director, Paul succeeds Terry Clough who has held the top role at the company since 2007 and will remain on the FMA Board of Directors until he retires later next year.

Joining FMA as a Project Engineer in 1989, Paul quickly rose through the ranks, first achieving the position of Project Manager and then becoming Sales & Marketing Manager. In 2002 he was involved in the completion of a management buyout and became both a shareholder and director of the company.

Global brands among clients
“During my 25 years at FMA,” he says, “I have seen and also instigated many changes. In the UK and internationally, FMA now works across a number of sectors, including brewing & drinks, dairy, food and healthcare, and can count numerous leading global brands among its clients.”

“Over the last 18 months, we have made significant progress in further developing our client base and expanding into exciting new market sectors,” he continues.  “We were accepted onto the Government GrowthAccelerator scheme. The programme is the preserve of some of the UK’s top SMEs and has helped our drive towards high growth thinking immeasurably. We have also joined the ‘great200leaders’ mentoring and intensive coaching initiative.”

Extending skills base
In preparation for continued growth, FMA has also begun to further extend its skills and knowledge base. Over recent months, the company has strengthened its resources in the areas of Process Engineering, Project Engineering and Systems Automation.

Significant investment is also being made at FMA’s Lichfield HQ, and includes improvements to infrastructure and the implementation of industry-leading management information technologies. Finally, FMA has underlined its commitment to graduate recruitment, providing newly qualified engineers with the opportunity to not only join a knowledge-led business, but also develop the skills that will ultimately assist FMA in the future.
