New trade counter opened by heating and pipeline solutions company in Inverness

Leading distributor of heating and pipeline solutions, BSS Industrial, has opened a new branch in Inverness to satisfy growing demand from the area’s flourishing H&V, food and beverage, and industrial markets.

The trade counter, which is BSS Industrial’s 64th location, sits alongside an existing branch of builders’ merchant Keyline. This is the first partnership of its kind since both brands, alongside interiors specialist CCF, formed the General Merchanting Division of the Travis Perkins Group.

Opened in December, the shared space with Keyline has also created a unique branch format for BSS Industrial customers. Its large trade counter area with a higher proportion of product on shelving encourages efficient product selection, serving the requirements of busy contractors in the area. The branch will be supported by overnight deliveries from BSS Industrial’s National Distribution Centre at Magna Park, Leicestershire.

Steve Higgins, Regional Director at BSS Industrial, said: “Inverness and the surrounding area is home to a thriving industrial sector which spans a variety of markets. In order to meet the needs of the region’s businesses, especially the many food and beverage manufacturers, we have decided to open an Inverness branch, making it our sixth in Scotland.”

BSS Inverness will be managed by Garry Hopkins who has over 30 years’ of experience within the industry, most recently as an Account Manager at BSS Industrial covering the Inverness and Dundee areas.
