Launch of the New Packo MFP3/125-315 Pump
Innovation focused on low total cost of ownership across the full operating range
Packo, part of the Verder Group, has announced the launch of the MFP3/125-315, the latest addition to its proven MFP3 pump series. The new centrifugal pump sets a benchmark for energy efficiency, user friendliness and long term cost savings.
Developed with the user firmly in mind, the MFP3/125-315 delivers excellent performance while minimising total cost of ownership across a wide range of operating conditions.
This latest launch reinforces Packo’s long standing philosophy of designing industrial pump solutions that combine technical excellence with sustainability reliability and measurable operational savings over the full lifecycle of the equipment.
Low total cost of ownership as a design principle
As with all pumps in the MFP3 range, achieving the lowest possible total cost of ownership is central to the design of the MFP3/125-315. This is achieved through the use of standardised interchangeable components and extensive parts commonality across different pump sizes and configurations.
This high level of standardisation simplifies maintenance and repairs reduces spare parts requirements and helps minimise downtime. The result is lower operating costs, improved plant availability and easier servicing for operators and maintenance teams. With the MFP3/125-315, Packo demonstrates that technical innovation and cost control can be delivered together.
Technical innovation delivering wide range energy efficiency
During development, Packo deliberately moved beyond the traditional focus on achieving peak efficiency only at the best efficiency point. In real world industrial environments many centrifugal pumps rarely operate continuously at their BEP.
Instead they are required to perform under varying process conditions and at different duty points such as those found in brewing food processing and other hygienic applications.
In addition, only a limited number of pumps are installed with a full impeller diameter. Recognising this reality, the MFP3/125-315 has been engineered to deliver consistently high hydraulic efficiency across an exceptionally wide operating window.
The pump achieves a hydraulic efficiency of nearly 80 percent over a flow range from 60 percent to 120 percent of the BEP flow. This ensures stable and efficient energy consumption even when process conditions fluctuate or when the pump is not operating at a single fixed duty point.

Consistent performance with trimmed impellers
One of the defining advantages of the MFP3/125-315 is its ability to maintain high efficiency even when fitted with trimmed impellers. This provides greater flexibility during system design and commissioning without sacrificing energy performance.
Measured with water at 1.450 rpm, the pump delivers an efficiency of almost 80 percent at flow rates between 150 and 400 cubic metres per hour and a head range of 25 to 50 metres. This makes the MFP3/125-315 suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications where efficiency, reliability and adaptability are essential.
Supporting sustainable and cost efficient pumping
With the launch of the MFP3/125-315, Packo further underlines its commitment to sustainable progress within the industrial pumping sector. By focusing on efficiency not just at the BEP but across the entire operating range, the company helps customers reduce energy consumption operating costs and environmental impact.
Packo continues to invest in technological innovation and robust pump design so that users can rely on dependable cost efficient solutions both today and well into the future.
