Kids Invent Stuff Launches Permanent Exhibition at Gulliver’s
Kids Invent Stuff is thrilled to announce the launch of a permanent interactive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) exhibition at Gulliver’s Valley Theme Park Resort in Rotherham, which is set to welcome visitors in Spring/Summer 2026. This exciting project has been made possible thanks to the support from Innovate UK and Enginuity.
Partially funded by Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency, this initiative also benefits from strategic investment from Enginuity. Formerly known as Semta, Enginuity is a charity focused on bridging the skills gap in the UK’s engineering and manufacturing sectors. Their mission to unlock engineering potential perfectly aligns with the exhibition’s goal of inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers.
Gulliver’s Valley is stepping in as a key delivery partner, providing the necessary building and land for the exhibition. Their involvement ensures that this experience will become a lasting part of the park’s educational and family offerings, reaching thousands of children each year.
This exhibition is a major milestone for Kids Invent Stuff, marking the organization’s evolution from a YouTube platform to a permanent, physical attraction. It will feature real inventions created by children aged 4 to 11, all brought to life by the Kids Invent Stuff engineering team, along with hands-on activities, build zones, and interactive STEAM experiences.
Crafted in Kids Invent Stuff’s Derbyshire workshop, the exhibition will be a dedicated hub for invention-led learning, hosting:
- School trips and curriculum-linked workshops
- Family-friendly maker activities
- Live demonstrations and engineering shows
- Community and outreach sessions
- Rotating displays of children’s invention ideas
This exhibition stands as a lasting legacy for the organization, significantly enhancing its ability to engage young minds in engineering, creativity, and design.
Ruth Amos, Inventor and Co-founder at Kids Invent Stuff, said:
“Since we launched Kids Invent Stuff, our dream has always been to create a space where children can see their ideas brought to life and feel the excitement of real engineering up close. Thanks to the support of Innovate UK, Enginuity and Gulliver’s Valley, we can now build a permanent home for invention – a place where every child can experiment, explore and realise that their ideas have value. We’re so excited to open the doors in 2026.”
Nicola Dolan, Associate Director of Charity Impact & Operations at Enginuity, said: “We are thrilled to support Kids Invent Stuff in bringing you people’s ideas to life through this exciting new exhibition at Gulliver’s Valley. Giving young people hands-on experience of engineering and creativity is exactly how we can inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and engineers. Initiatives like this help children see that their ideas have real value, spark curiosity, and encourage practical problem-solving skills.
“By connecting young people with the world of engineering and manufacturing at an early age, we are reshaping perceptions of the industry, inspiring future engineers and innovators, and addressing the skills gaps facing the UK’s engineering and manufacturing sector.”
Julie Dalton, managing director of Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts, said: “It’s a real honour to facilitate the development of this exciting new space for children to develop their skills, explore their creativity and immerse themselves in STEAM experiences.
“Providing learning opportunities such as this is something very close to our hearts here at Gulliver’s and we can’t wait to see the Kids Invent Stuff exhibition arrive at Gulliver’s Valley next year.”
The exhibition will open in Spring/Summer 2026, with further updates released throughout the year.
